Director of The Graduate Program in Industrial Design at The University of the Arts, a graduate laboratory for postindustrial design. Students and faculty are actively investigating how to design for new social conditions in which behavioral, material, technological, and natural landscapes are shifting. As industrial economies become service and information economies, designers must shift their sights from giving form to hard goods for a consumer market to creating soft-wares for a light-weight culture.
