Visiting Design Researcher and PhD supervisor within the Prototyping Practices research program at Umeå Institute of Design in Umeå, Sweden. Prototyping Practices consists of three parallel but interconnected themes: Design and Social Innovation; Design as a Critical Practice; and The Work of Design after the Age of Mass-Production. The aim of these practice-led doctoral research programs is to "prototype" not objects or services but practices, in order to experiment with and explore the implications of social, cultural and technological changes and challenges to design.
